How to Update from 1.5 to 1.6 procedure was created by

any procedures to update from 1.5 to 1.6 when scenario is data in table and layouts personalized ?
From 1.6 tips after install we report:

Changes in 1.6 to 1.5

Joodb 1.6 is now compatible with Joomla 1.6 and Joomla 1.5 Versions
The install routine was updated. You can not update without data-loss from any version.
Fixed an issue with mysql and the catalogue view.
Fixed some problems with the data editor.

Warning ! maybe the "not" (line 2) is to read "now" ?
