It is possible to use joodb to allow visitors to feed the database through a form?

Yes is the simple answer, but obviously there are restrictions. If you have a very simple data base where you don't require validation eg. Date greater than today etc, don't require images to be uploaded it can do the job. Attach the "form view" to a menu item and test using the "My Little DB" to see how it works. The submitted data will be in the data base, but you will need to mark record as published. A good way to ensure that people don't submit garbage.
