I have had a lot of trouble with my website, and am only now getting it back up. One of the last things that I need to do is to get my database going again. It contains a list of songs that we have done at our Sunday Worship service, with links to various items associated with a given song.

For some reason, the hyperlinks that I entered in the backend to access data from the frontend are not being rendered as hyperlinks, but are just plain text.

Any idea as to why?

I guess it's not an joodb problem.

If you really use the backend the hyperlinks should be saved correctly. Maybe it's a problem with the filters or your Editor. You find the settings in Joomla->Global Configuration->text-filters

Are the hyperlinks still there if you open the entries in backend again?

Another possible reason might be the type of your text-field. It should be text or longtext.

Do you really mean the database content?
