Joodb link was created by fred
I tried to implement a link like it was done in the DB Example (wikipedia link). I copied everything. I checked that the datafield in my database was configured in the same way as in the DB Example. The same with the Single entry template. In the DB Example I get linked to wikipedia; in my db I only see the next error and url:
Object not found - http://localhost/joomla170v/%7Bjoodb link%7D.
For some reason the curly brackets are changed in %7B and %7D
I use JooDatabase 1.8.4; joomla 2.5.8 and php 5.3.8.
Have I missed something?

It's probably your editor.
Try to disable html-cleaning or use the internal editor of joodb.

With JCE set Validate HTML to no

Thanks. It works now. The only thing left is that I work with localhost to test a new site. After adding something to the database (directly or with phpMyAdmin) I have to restart the computer. This is not a problem, only a nuisance.

You have probably enabled a cache in Joomla or your Web-Server
